Weekly Activities

ART ACTIVITIES-will include projects that develop imagination, individuality, and aesthetic appreciation. Art is a good release for emotions. It also develops eye-hand coordination as well as large and small muscles.

COOKING ACTIVITIES-includes foods from the basic 4 Food Groups that are low in salt, sugars,and fats. Because food habits develop during early years, we introduce children to a balanced diet of nutritious foods. Recipes are simple so children can prepare food.

FINGERPLAYS-are simple poems children can recite while performing appropriate actions

LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT-includes discussions, word games, flannel board stories, books and experiences to increase communication skills.

GAMES AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES-teaches children to follow instructions and be in an organized group.

CREATIVE DRAMATICS AND MOVEMENT-implements use of puppets, prop boxes, blocks, dramatic play area, dramatics, and movement. It encourages free expression and group interaction.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT- includes games and exercises which increase physical skills and coordination.

MATH-includes games, activities, and materials that provide a foundation for understanding mathematical concepts.

SCIENCE-we experiment and observe to increase awareness of the world.

MUSIC-simple songs. Familiar tunes will be given with songs.

FIELD TRIPS- are fun, exciting learning experiences.

8:30-9:30	Infant am nap
9:00	Preschool music time and reading
10:00	Snack/outdoor play
11:30	Lunch
Noon	Lunch (all organic - see menu link)
12:00-2:00	Rest Period
2:30	Clean up, potty, diaper changes etc
3:00	Snack
3:30	Outdoor play
4:30	Choose free play/center activities
5:00	Begin facility cleaning rotation (1 caregiver at a time)
5:30	Facility closed.
